Q1)What are the
HCBD foundational skills, habits, and concepts?
The HCBD skills, habits, and concepts, when they
are consistently practiced with enthusiasm and determination,
are designed to set YOU up w a
foundation for becoming a member of Nikken's President's
Club.
President's Club is not just a club; attaining membership in
the
President's Club means that you have built a strong, stable, consistent
organization and that you are well on your way to the
Millionaires club!! Are you excited??? !!!!
"Inner Leadership precedes outer leadership."
Robert Kyosaki, in "The Business School for People who Like to
Help Other People", (The 8 Hidden Values of Network Marketing Besides
Making Money), says that in order to be successful in any
venture, you must transform yourself physically, mentally,
spiritually, and emotionally!
Wanna know how to do all that?
Here is a good way to start:
- Practice consistent Daily Personal Growth habits.
- Practice consistent Daily Results-Oriented Business
Activities.
- Develop improved listening skills and relationship building
skills. (FORing and FORBing)
- Learn foundational concepts of Business Development,.
- Schedule your personal and business life; keep
track of your
prospecting and follow-up activities.

Q1.1) What are the
HCBD "Consistent Daily
Personal Growth Habits"
?
HCBD suggests you complete the activities
(below) at least 5 days per week, with a heart-centered spirit:
A) Morning
activities:
Read one chapter
every day from "The
7 Spiritual Laws of Success". Here is how it
works: There are
7 days of the week, and there are 7
laws!!
On Sunday, you read Law #1, on Monday you read Law #2, on Tues you read
Law #3, etc. (If the terminology in this book does not fit
with
your personal religious beliefs, simply cross out the words you don't
agree with , and write in the words you resonate with ...for example ,
you might want to cross out the the word "Self, and
substitute
a title that agrees with your personal beliefs.)
Also, read daily from any other spiritual books that inspire
you!!
"We should treat our minds as innocent and ingenious children, whose
guardians we are, and be careful what objects and what subjects we
thrust on their attention. Read not the "Times". Read the
Eternities."--Henry David Thoreau
B) Daytime Activities:
Read books*, listen to CDs* at your discression. Put an HCBD
recommended book* in your bedroom, one in your bathroom, one in
your living room, etc. Read these books every day instead of
reading newspapers and magazines, which are mostly full of negative
news and gossip about the super-stars. Stay away from the Automatic
Income Reducer, (otherwise known as TV).
Put
HCBD CDs in your car. Listen to them instead of listening to
the radio! Remember, you are going to Nikken/MLM/Personal growth
University!!! You are in charge of your own curriculum!!
"Where you will be 5
years from now depends on the books you read, the
cds you listen to, and the people you associate with!"- Dave
Johnson
Exercise every day,
even if it is only for one minute! Exercise creates
endorphins
that over-ride fear and doubt! Exercise, so that you can
look and feel like the
vibrantly healthy WC that you are!!!!
C) Night-time activities:
1) Fill out your Simple Abundance Journal of
Gratitude*.
Write 5 things you are
grateful for every day. It might be the same thing every day!! Every
day you might be grateful for your spouse, for enough food to eat, for
your children, for a warm house to live in, for your Wellness
Home!!! . OR, it might be different everyday! Just go with
your
stream of consciousness, and be grateful for everything you can think
of!! Be sure to write at least one reason why you are grateful that
Nikken came into your life, and re-member why you are passionate about
sharing it!
"Have
no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition, with a
thankful heart, make your requests known... then the peace
which
surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind."
2)Review your Life-Cycle plan every night before you go to bed:
"The subconscious mind takes any orders given it, and acts upon those
orders, Although the orders often have to be presented, over
and over again, through repetition, before they are recognized by the
subconscious mind."--Napoleon Hill

Q1.2) What are
the HCBD "Consistent Daily Results-Oriented Business
Activities" otherwise called "Dynamic Action Steps"??
- The purpose of doing these activities is NOT just to be
"Complete". The purpose is to BUILD THE BUSINESS OF YOUR DREAMS!!!
Be excited, be committed!!!
- These "Dynamic Action Steps" are all part of the
HCBD Discover
It process flow chart which will be discussed on call #3 of
each quarterly cycle.
- These steps are a key part to the HCBD accountability
section.
A) HCBD suggests that you do at least 5 of these
dynamic action
steps each week. "Set a pace you can sustain" --RA Dave Johnson
Make sure that one of your "Dynamic Action Steps" includes
entering at least
1 new
personal prospect into the "Discover It" process each week,
until
you have identified your 6 key leaders, and are set up for
President's Club! You will want to enter alot more
prospects to create momentum!!!
(Rick and Gina Meran from Spokane WA, entered 6 people each
week
during their first month, and re-couped their entire investment w their
first Nikken check! From there, they went on to earn 3
Performance Bonuses during their first year, each Bonus was
~10,000k )
- Entering a new person into the "Discover IT!" Process by
setting an ABC appointment!
- FORBing a new prospect. (FORBing will be taught
and role-played each week on the Wed HCBD conference call)
(FORBing only counts as a "Dynamic Action Step" if and
when your prospect enters the "Discover IT!"
process, meaning that they agree to proceed to the next
Action Step).
- Doing a one-on-one ABC presentation.
(more info about how to do this
available on the Process Flow Chart, tab at top)
- Bringing your prospect to a Wellness Home
in-home presentation/demonstration, which includes product demos AND
watching a business presentation DVD.
- Bringing your prospect to a WP, or any NIkken event, or to
an online presentation.
- Doing a "Follow-Up Bridge" meeting w your prospect after an
in-home or WP. (more info about how to do
this available on the Process Flow Chart, tab at
top).
- Doing a meeting with or for someone in your
organization (to build depth),
and there is one or more prospect in attendance.
- Having a "Sponsoring meeting"
where
your new prospect joins Nikken!!! (more info about
how to do this
available on the Process Flow Chart, tab at top)
- Your prospect reviews a CD or DVD
(these can only be counted as "Dynamic Action Steps" after your
prospect has actually reviewed them)
- Bringing your prospect to a 3-way call.
This includes 3-waying them into the Big Picture
Call, a conference call, or a personal call to your upline or another
credible person. For a list of Big Picture Call phone #s see the bottom
of www.pathfinders.biz/4.htm
- Bringing a new personally sponsored person to their first
Nikken event: Quarterly Event, HBM, etc.
- Doing a presentation at a club, a leads-group, or a
fair-type event, and you set at least 1 definite follow-up appointment.
- Making a retail sale or
sponsoring a new Preferred Customer.

Q1.3) Relationship
Building
What is FORing"?
A) FORing is a wonder full, duplicable technique
for
building
relationships!! We are in a relationship business!! Building
relationships is what we do!!!
First and foremost, FORing is an expression of love for
another person.
"The greatest need of the human soul is the need for
appreciation, the need to feel important"--William James
"Listening is how we know someone cares."--Steve Shapiro
"Never speak of yourself to others; make them talk about themselves
instead: therein lies the whole art of pleasing."- J.E de Goncourt
"And how shall I greet each whom I meet? In only one way: in silence
and to myself I say 'I love you.' Though spoken in silence these words
shine in my eyes, unwrinkle my brow, bring a smile to my lips and an
echo to voice... and their heart will be moved." --Og Mandino
FOR stands for: F=Family, O=Occupation, R=Recreation
When we are FORing, we are asking specific
questions. These specific questions are interwoven with
other questions and
responses, so you will find that you will be engaged in a very natural,
interesting conversation.
Here are some specific questions that you want to include in
your FORing conversation:
- What do you do for a living?
- How long?
- What do you like about what you do?
- What would you change if you could?
- Is your current occupation fulfilling and meaningful?
Continue to FOR your prospects throughout every step
of the "Discover
IT!" process. Continue to ask them questions in a sincere,
light-hearted,
natural way! You will discover who they are, what their
interests
are,
what their strengths and talents are, what their priorities
are,
what their needs and desires are. Then you have enough
information to be able to lead with THEIR
agenda!
Return
What is "FORBing"?
A. FORBing is FORing, and then finishing with a Bridge Phrase, in order
to Bridge your prospect into the "Discover IT!" process.
The purpose of FORBing is to lead with your prospect's agenda, instead
of leading with your agenda! FORBing works very well,
especially
with 3-foot rule prospects. With warm market
friends, it is
usually best to FORB them throughout the "Discover IT!" Process, rather
then in the context of your initial conversation.
(FORBing probably won't make much sense to you until you
listen to it
being role-played on the HCBD recorded calls that are posted
on this website.)
Return
Examples - Bridge
Phrase
"Bridge Phrase" is how
we complete the FORBing process. It is a duplicable way to
transition from FOR (Family, Occupation,
Recreation) B
(Bridge Phrase), so that we can invite them to enter the "Discover IT!"
process....
(FYI:
In the "Discover IT!" Process, you will also learn about
"Transition Phrases". Transition phrases help you to move
your
prospect from step to step in the "Discover IT!" Process, they are not
the same as Bridge Phrases. Bridge Phrases help you to connect your
prospects needs, wants, desires, talents and strengths to Nikken)
1) 3-Foot Rule Bridge phrase:
“(Name
of new friend), I couldn't help but notice as you were talking... I am
a Business Developer (...or , I am a Consultant) with an
International Company. We are expanding all across the country right
now, and we are looking for people who (name their positive quality, or
what they like about their job), and you wouldn't have to (name what
they don't like about their current occupation, or their needs and/or
desires). I'm not sure if it would be a fit for you, but let's exchange
phone numbers. I would love to sit down with you for about 20
minutes and discuss the possibilities. Would you be open to
that?
...what day is good for you?
...what time?
...where?
...see ya there!”
If they ask "What is it?"
Answer: "Well, what we do is we educate people about how to create
Wellness
Environments for both the home and office".
Usually, they will ask "What's a Wellness Environment?"
Answer: "Do you think health is important?"
If they say NO, they are probably the wrong people to be talking
to! If they say YES:
Answer: "Great! ...What I'd love to do is to sit down w you
for 20 or so minutes, and show you some remarkable information
....when can we get together?"
2) Warm Market Bridge Phrase: FOR, then:
(Name
of friend), I couldn't help but notice that you (name their
need). Well, I am working with an International company out of
California;
we're expanding all over the country right now, and we are really
looking for
people with (name their strengths and/or talents), and it could
possibly be a way for you to (name their need, dreams, desires or
goals). I know you are probably totally satisfied with the situation
you're in right now, but it would be fun to get together and sit down
and chat for 20 minutes or so and discuss the possibilities. Let's get
together for coffee or something this week, ok?
...what day is good for you?
...what time??
...where?
...see ya there!”
What to do after the appointment is set?? Learn how to do a
one-on-one
ABC presentation by reviewing the HCBD "Discover IT! Process"
Flowchart. (tab at top)
*One of the best resources to learn FORing skills is thru
listening to
Dani Johnson CDs. *We recommend you listen to these cds with a grain of
salt. Ms
Johnson recommends buying leads. We don't know of anyone
who has become successful in
Nikken by buying leads, so be cautious. Usually your best source of
leads is your 100 name list, referrals from your 100 name list,
and 3-foot rule friends.
Also,
because of Nikken's higher ticket items, and
generous pay plan, we don't have to prospect the huge numbers that Dani
talks about ... Also, the true spirit of Nikken is "Humans
Being More." The spirit of the Johnson cds is not
always in alignment
with the Nikken spirit. Another thing to be aware of: Ms Johnson
wants you to outsource all
your training to her. With all of Nikken's unique and heart-centered
training,
there is no need to outsource.
But still , these cds are
great learning tools for those who truly wish to invest in
developing their
relationship -building skills, as well as improving their confidence
and posture. The recommended CDs are:
1) The Dani Johnson Original Script Book (which includes 2 cds) $39.97
2) How to Prospect and Close your way to Millions (7 cds) $197

3.4 Catch Phrase-
When someone asks you what you do for a living, what should you say?
Here are effective options:
Choice 1: "I'm a Business Developer". Period
OR
Choice 2: "I'm a Consultant". Period
OR
Choice 3: "I am a Wellness Consultant". Period
What next? Most people will respond with a question, such as "What's a
Business Developer?", "What kind of consulting?", "What does a Wellness
Consultant do?".
This is perfect, because your objective is to
elicit questions.
Answer: "I educate people about how to create Wellness Environments for
the home and office."
Again, most people will respond to this statement with a question, such
as "What do you mean, Wellness Environment?"
Answer: "Do you think health is important?
Most people will say YES. If not, they are probably not the right
people.
After they say YES: "I'd love to get together for coffee this week, and
tell you all about it. When is a good time for you?"
Our objective it to sit down with them, have fun, start building a
relationship, and create interest about Nikken.
Sending them to your website is also an option, but not a first
choice. You can hardly build a relationship by
sending someone to your website.

Q1.4) What are the foundational Concepts
that are critical to understand in order to evolve into
a true
Business Developer? These three concepts are presented very well in the
mp3 audio files linked to each concept below:
- Educate
your prospects
by taking
them through
the "Discover IT!" Process vs. just being a salesperson.
Royal Diamond Jeff Van Blaricum explains this process very succinctly!

vs. just sponsoring

Q1.5) How to schedule and
track business activities?
A. Is Nikken your business or your hobby?
"You
can do Nikken part time or full time, but those who do it some-times,
have a hobby, not a business! Hobbies never make you money, they cost
you money!"
All businesses keep records! Your Nikken business is no
exception!
Use a Day-timer to effectively schedule
your personal and business life! Your Day-timer is a critical
tool to use on a daily basis in order to do effective
planning and follow-up! " Follow-up or die!!! "
It is
also an
indispensable tool to have on hand in case you need to show it to the
IRS to document your home-based business expenditures and
activities.
You can use your Day-timer to track your
consistent daily personal growth and business activities!
Another
good reason to use a daytimer: You can use it to teach your new WCs
what they need to do, by showing them, on paper, what you do!! You can
trouble-shoot yourself and your people when your activities
are documented!!
The recommended Day-timer is
low-cost and has the
recommended set-up. You can purchase a good, inexpensive

Q2-1) Why do I need these tools?
A) The Day-timer is a duplicable tool that you will learn to use very
effectively in HCBD. With it, you will be
able to coherently schedule your personal and business life, you will
learn to manage your time more wisely, you will be able to
track your business activities, you will learn
to do consistent and excellent follow-up, (which is
absolutely essential to your success)!!!
B) Why do YOU need the books and cds? Inspiration,
Education, Repetition!! "Readers are Leaders;
Leaders are Readers!!". If you were taking a college class,
you would expect to invest several hundred dollars in books. You are
now attending HCBD University, and your objective is to create at least
a 6-figure annual income, so, of course you are going to need to become
educated!!! This is a business, not a
J-O-B; everyone expects to invest in education when they
start a business!!!
- "You become what you think about"--Earl Nightingale. "The
Strangest Secret"
- "Where you will be 5 years from now depends on the books
you read, the cds you listen to, and the people you associate with!"--
Royal Ambassador Dave Johnson
- "If you advance confidently in the direction of your
dreams, you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours!"--
Henry David Thoreau
- "Keep your head and your heart in the right direction and
you will never have to worry about your feet!"---unknown author
